Presentations are on a variety of subjects from pre-European settlement to the French colonial period as well as the 19th and 20th centuries. Geneviève District and the surrounding region. This is a non-circulating library open on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., other times by appointment. It contains resources for researchers studying French American Colonial History, the Ste. Geneviève District, and the mid–Mississippi Valley region as well as indexes of related historic written materials available at public institutions in the region. The Mecker Library also maintains files to identify private sources of information that are helpful to persons researching the history of the region.
